About Me
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in Biomedical Informatics at The Ohio State University, where I have the privilege of working under the mentorship of Dr. Dongjun Chung. I hold a Ph.D. in Statistics from Korea University, where I was fortunate to be advised by Dr. Seung Jun Shin, alongside an M.S. in Statistics from Purdue University and a B.S. in Mathematics from the Korea Military Academy.
Prior to my academic career, I served as an officer in the Republic of Korea Army for 14 years (Retired Major) and taught mathematics and statistics at the Korea Military Academy.
Research Interests
My work bridges methodological statistics and collaborative biostatistics, specifically targeting immuno-oncology and spatial/single-cell omics.
Study design, power analysis, cell-type deconvolution, and multi-sample modeling.
Sufficient dimension reduction (SDR), sparse estimation, and variable selection.
Deep learning for nonlinear/quantile regression and interpretable biomedical learning.
Biomarker studies, survival analysis, TCR-seq, flow cytometry, and spatial platforms (Visium HD, Stereo-seq).
