Jungmin Shin

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at The Ohio State University, working with Dr. Dongjun Chung. I received my Ph.D. in Statistics from Korea University under Dr. Seung Jun Shin, my M.S. in Statistics from Purdue University, and B.S. in Mathematics from Korea Military Academy.

My methodological research spans high-dimensional statistics, sufficient dimension reduction, statistical deep learning, and spatial statistics, with applications to bulk RNA-seq, single-cell and spatial omics, and multi-omics integration. I also serve as a biostatistician for immuno-oncology studies at OSU, working with longitudinal biomarkers, survival outcomes, cytokine assays, spectral flow cytometry, scRNA-seq, TCR-seq, Visium HD, and Stereo-seq.

Before my current academic research career, I served in the Republic of Korea Army for 14 years (retired Major) and taught mathematics and statistics at the Korea Military Academy.
